Housed in the historic Guerrant Mission Clinic and Hospital in Winchester, the Bluegrass Heritage Museum examines regional history through engaging and innovative exhibits. The Museum is the place to begin your exploration of the rich cultural heritage of the Bluegrass Region. Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate

Ashland, the home of famous 19th-century statesman Henry Clay, is located a short distance from downtown Lexington on a beautiful 17-acre wooded estate. Guided tours of the estate include the home, filled with Clay family belongings and memorabilia, and interesting outbuildings such as two icehouses, a dairy cellar, the original privy, as well as a traditional English garden. Hours of Operation: April through October, open 7 days a week. Tours on the hour Mon-Sat 10:00am to 4:00 pm and Sunday 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Closed the month of January and major holidays. Closed on Mondays during March, November and December. In February, open only on weekends and by appointment.
